The Walt Disney Company
As a Creative Writer Supervisor within the Social Engagement & Content Marketing team, I led the creative strategy and content development for social media accounts such as Oh My Disney, Star Wars, Marvel, and Mickey Mouse in the Latin American market.
Key Responsibilities:
• Crafted concise, impactful copy, scripts, and diverse content formats in both Spanish and English.• Oversaw the development of editorial calendars, ensuring the timely creation of content aligned with the unique essence of each brand. • Worked closely with cross-functional teams for shareable content production and bringing ideas to life. • Produced high-quality content for a range of social channels, including Disney+ and Disney Studios. • Developed insight-driven concepts for creative decks and pitched innovative ideas for marketing campaigns of high-priority titles including Pixar's Luca and The Mandalorian.
Here are some exciting snippets of the magic I helped create during my time at Disney:
A key aspect of the content development process was being comfortable working on multiple products at once and adapting creative concepts, tone of voice, and executions to best suit each brand's identity.
For the release of Cruella, we asked Emma Stone and Emma Thompson to answer questions about their fashion taste. As a creative writer for this project, I was in charge of developing the concept and scriptwriting. My starting point for this idea was the ongoing strategy we had for the film: leverage on the A-list cast and focus on content pillars such as fashion, music and edgy style.
For Oh My Disney, an account that sits uniquely at the intersection of nostalgia and contemporary culture, I've developed organic and shareable content from quizzes, videos, and memes to digital initiatives and special events for marketing campaigns. I've also worked on concepts and scripts for video format, supervised asset production, and content strategy execution.
For the Marvel social media account, I've been involved in the creation and development of creative content to increase brand awareness for the different new titles within the Marvel franchise.
The Marvel archive was a collection of short-form videos to promote new Marvel Cinematic Universe shows and dive deep into the past of each character. I've also worked on evergreen content to update the editorial calendar and keep the social conversation going.
10 Reasons to watch is a quippy-style editorial video format to promote new films and shows in a voice that speaks directly to Disney fans. I've worked on the development of this format for Pixar, Star Wars, Disney Studios and Marvel new releases. My main responsibilities were, to conceptualize, write and supervise the asset production to ensure brand compliance.
